A proposal but who would organise? perhaps this is a matter for Gwynedd Patriots to consider. An effective ''Rally of Rejection'' would require good organisation and need to perhaps at it's core be localy based but able to draw upon wider active working organisation support from the immediate area of Northern Wales., not least Gwynedd - The heartland of Pura Walliae at time of Llywelyn III, Llywelyn ap Gruffydd 'Tywysog Cymru'. So, Gwynedd Patriots and others think on it? there is over a year to organise, but as for date of such a proposed Mass Mobalisation of Patriots, I am not in position to suggest, as I have not been able to find a date for the Statute of Rhuddlan. anyone know?

Whatever, some background History and why not start by linking into Wikapedia: Rhuddlan Castle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Rhuddlan Castle is a Welsh castle located in Rhuddlan, Denbighshire. It was erected by King Edward I beginning in 1277, but was not completed until 1282. ...

Below is photo of a building in Rhuddlan, in which local history records that therein was held a Parliment of Anglo - Norman Magnates and traitor Welsh Chiefs to give their approval of Edward's Statute of Rhuddlan of 1284.
Below is a good link to an Historically/Patriotic Correct interpretation of the ruthless 'take over' of the Principality of Gwynedd and Pura Walliae, making of them English Crown Lands. It is here at Rhuddland in 1284 that not only is the Sovereignty of Gwynedd cast into the dustbin of Anglo-Welsh History but it is here that are established the foundations for the later 1536 complete annexation of Cymru/Wales - Incorperated as a ''Principlality'' as part of the Realm of England and present English State. See Picture below: Another awful example of ''Cambrianism'', the plaque set upon this aforementioned building in Rhuddlan which not only commemorates the Statute of Rhuddlan 1284 but actually celebrates that Statute as ''Securing to the Principality of Wales, it's justice and Independence''. Now just how could that be? I can just imagine ''Vichyist French'' more or less saying the same thing about their pact with Hitler. So how come the Welsh can come up with this? maybe it was not the Welsh who were responsible for this plaque (anyone got info on this?) but I just know that 'WASPs' had an hand in this somewhere along the line. Whatever, it smacks awfully of a perfect piece of double talk that is usual of ''Cambrianism'' and ''Cambrianist'' versions of Welsh History, see O.M. Edwards, Wales - In Story of Nations with its final salute to the English Princes of Wales 'Ich Dein'. NB: The year given on this plaque is 1283, it's wrong of course, as is their interpretation of the Edwardian final conquest of Wales 1282 -83. There is a very interesting reason why Edward allowed the ''Old Chiefs'' to keep certain older Welsh Laws, as it actually put them at a disadvantage economically compared to English Settlers useing English Laws. I will return to this theme else where at another time, possibly in my Welsh Remembrancer Blog http://welshremembrancer.blogspot.com/

To conclude, I would imagine that if the event I proposed is carried out, why not make it a long weekend event in time of good weather, with Conference on Sovereignty issues and struggle for Independence. Not least the organisation of Social entertainment, making the weekend a Patriotic Folk Festival plus 'Pop Cymraeg' as well. As for the Rejection Rally, I suggest assembling in area of Castle with march through Town past that offending plaque back to the Castle for the Rejection Rally with loads of speeches. Followed maybe by a Patriots Picnic in the Castle. Sounds great to me, two years almost to organise, so get cracking making loads and loads of national and Patriotic Flags and Banners, if no one organises an event as I describe. I suggest Patriots just get up to Rhuddlan for a patriotic ''Autonomous Action'' gathering, some time next year I hope to be able to propose a good date upon which to hold such an event. If anyone out there is interested in helping to organise or attend, let me know: gethin.apgruffydd@ntlworld.com
